Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the EU-Africa Joint Action Plan 2011-2013 and discusses its potential to be a win-win game. Should it prove to be functional, the Joint Action Plan will be a step forward towards other kind of alliances for security (not necessarily military alliances) made to assure the security for both the EU and Africa. After a discussion of the necessity of this Plan, it is analyzed on what the EU-Africa partnership is based. In the third part, it will analyze the areas in which the Joint Action Plan will function. Finally, the author will analyze if the Plan is feasible, referring here to issues of human security, security challenges, the conflicts, the political instability and other challenges confronted by the African states.
