Summary/Abstract: This article aims to explore the vision and the creative strategies defining Mihai Maniutiu’s works. Maniutiu’s vision becomes apparent in his theory on acting and the construction of character, in his rehearsal schedule and particularly in his definition of the unique performance. This article also discusses his special approach to stage imagery and movement, with reference to two of his performances: The Death of Danton and Aici, la Portile Beznei.
