Summary/Abstract: The Art of acting is a way of thinking and, in the first place, a specific logical mechanism. If the writings of Diderot put acting between ratio and feeling, due to the bivalent logic, the Romanian Director and Acting Professor Ion Cojar establishes that the distinctive way of actors’ thinking is the polyvalent logic. The actor believes and even can be two things at a time, he and another. This mentality is the founding principle of the actor’s art and Ion Cojar summarizes this well in his book: „The actor is the artist and his work, he is citizen X and character Y, he is a civilian person and also Hamlet or Richard, whose concepts and ways of thinking he assimilated.”
