Summary/Abstract: In contemporary civilization which is characterized by "the acceleration of almost everything" time has become an important determinant of consumer behavior. Condition for getting to know, understanding, predicting the growth and the possibilities of shaping temporal aspects of consumer behavior is to study it. The purpose of this publication is to indicate the need for including in these studies both the quantitative context arising from the objective nature of time and the qualitative context associated with the relativity of time as well as the subjective perception of it by the consumer. Publication is of the theoretical nature and the considerations included in it are based on the analysis of secondary sources, therein mainly the literature
