Pragmatic implications of parody (on Polish data)

Summary/Abstract: The current paper re-examines the definition of the concept of parody and offers a novel definition thereof. New qualifications of parody from a pragmatic perspective are proposed and new terms enriching the existing nomenclature of speech acts are promoted. Some of the established characteristics of parody are modified and made more precise. The genetic relatedness between irony and parody is expounded upon.
