Summary/Abstract: This paper is based on the findings from two separate author’s research projects: quantitative mobbing research devoted to organisational anti-mobbing prevention mechanisms (2010, N=260), and a qualitative research and training project, serving the needs of mobbing detection, education and intervention, designed for a group of managers from one of the public institutions operating in a city of Wrocław (2012, N=26). The data and statistics coming from this research are presented and discussed, drawing a picture of an existing anti-mobbing organisational mechanisms and their effectiveness. Moreover, the author is pointing out the need of conducting professional, more systematic and widespread anti-mobbing training programmes, which should be directed especially to the managers of organisations, giving them the knowledge and tools for creating effective anti-mobbing organisational instruments and intervention practices. This educational need is stimulated by the Polish Labour Code, which puts legal responsibility for workplace mobbing on the organisations and their employers.
