Summary/Abstract: In today’s rapidly changing and very turbulent environments organizations invest a significant amount of their resources on employee development and training. The training of employees and executives is still an important tool for building knowledge, skills and attitudes of workers as well as the competitive advantage. Organizations recognize that without having a highly committed, skilled, and motivated employees, their ability to compete and innovate is drastically handicapped. Motivation is a critical factor for training of effectiveness. There is no doubt that motivation is an integral aspect of training. The main purpose of this article is to identify the factors that could affect motivation in the process of training. Literature review suggests that training of motivation is multifaceted and influenced by a set of individual and situational characteristics.
