Summary/Abstract: One of the main features of the social representation is that it always represents an object, reports itself to a place, a situation, a fact, a person, an event, an idea. The reporting to reality does not mean a reduction of the representation to a collection of individual representations, suggested by the immediate reality. The object of the representation can be real or imaginary, mythical, but always necessary. The image and the political actor’s career rely on elements that have a real force to designate the individual and the group, the elements that make up a comprehensive reality, a symbolic universe.
