Summary/Abstract: The concept of quality of life is an issue of great interest to many scientists and a fully interdisciplinary problem. This extremely broad interdisciplinary nature of quality of life is connected with a complex manifestation of personal fulfillment. The notion of the objective quality of life is semantically close to the terms of living conditions or the standard of life. Objective quality of life is basically related to financial soundness, existential security and environmental protection for individuals. For the purpose of analyzing and determining the objective quality of life public data has been used, among others. The subject matter of the following article is to analyze selected indicators for characterizing the quality of life in rural and urban-rural municipalities of Lublin Voivodeship. Therefore, the study of agglomeration conducted for 29 measures defining 6 issues revealing the objective quality of life has been employed. The areas of analysis constituted problems such as economic activity, housing conditions, educating children, participating in cultural events and relaxation exercises, making use of health protection services and social assistance. The statistics used have been obtained from the local database (Local Data Bank) for 193 municipalities for the year 2010. The statistical analysis that has been performed made it possible to indicate three groups of local communities characterized by diversity in the area of these indicators.
