IDENTIFYING THE HAZARDS, THREATS AND RISKS TO THE ECONOMY WHICH AFFECT SECURITY AT REGIONAL LEVEL

Summary/Abstract: The contemporary security environment is in a constant dynamic state, undergoing significant changes during short periods of time, this aspect requiring a permanent adjustment of the analysis criteria. The current security challenges are generated, not accidentally, by the overlapping of phenomena such as globalization and fragmentation, to which the classical phenomena of risks and vulnerabilities could be added.Further on, the traditional outbreaks of tension are maintained, and, in a market economy, the participants are at constant risk, generated by competition and progress, elements that lead to prosperity or bankruptcy. The free market is the fertile ground for threats and economic risks. They can take different forms, becoming threats to national and regional security.
