Summary/Abstract: On the eve of the new millennium, as never before, the freedom of communication and the urge for exchanging the ideas acquires wider significance. It influences the field of language learning and contributes to the fact that the Romanic studies receive greater attention as the French language offers an alternative to the omnipresent English language. The article is an analysis of methods of learning but also methods of popularizing the French language. The author believes that practical knowledge along with the multicultural perspective on language will definitely improve the students’ learning abilities as well as broaden their knowledge and sensitivity towards the subject.
