Conference “Solidarity as a fundamental public value. Theory and practice of solidarity action in Poland and Germany” (14-16 June 2012, Kulice)

Summary/Abstract: On the 14-16 June 2012, a conference took place in Kulice, entitled a “Solidarity as a fundamental public value. Theory and practice of solidarity action in Poland and Germany”. The organizers of the conference were the Institute of Political Science and European Studies University of Szczecin and Association for Support of German -Polish Co-operation. The participants of the conference were the Polish and German scientists and a group of students from the Institute of Political Science and European Studies University of Szczecin. On the first day of the conference (15,h June), two sessions took place dedicated to the theoretical issues, which concern solidarity: it was considered in religious and legal context. On the second day of conference (16lh June), took place a session entitled Solidarity between Berlin and Warsaw towards the European politics, during which, were discussed the examples of co-operation in regions borders, within the European Union.
