A permit for property acquisition by foreigners as an administrative decision

Summary/Abstract: The Act of the 24th of March 1920 on Property Acquisition by Foreigners regulates the issue of real estate trade involving foreigners. It is of regulatory character, it introduces limitations of public law nature for foreigners purchasing real estate in Poland. The act has been functioning in its current form in Polish legal transactions from the day the Republic of Poland joined European Union and the regulations concerning property acquisition under the act are well established in the legal system.
