Summary/Abstract: Art. 1 of Protocol no. 1 of the Convention - "protection of property" Art. 14 of the Convention - "Prohibition of discrimination" The case originated in six applications brought against France on 22 April 2011, eight nationals of the French State ("the petitioners"), residing in Monaco. In case the Court held that taxation under the Additional Protocol of 26 May 2003 Convention between France and Monaco of 25 June 1969 and the Act of 14 March 2005 authorizing the approval of the Protocol shall be applied in a uniform manner at whom these texts are in similar situations, namely the French who have moved residence or residing in Monaco, from 1 January 1989. The Court concludes that there has been a violation of art. 1 of Protocol no. 1 in conjunction with Art. 14 of the Convention.
