Summary/Abstract: The topic processes basic phenomenologic characteristics of juvenile offenders, their profile and the need for adequate preventative action. Frequent juvenile behaviour that goes against norms and standards as well as positive legal regulations demands a thorough and complete analysis of the juvenile offenders personality and his behaviour, as well as the attempt to remove the cause of its existance. Delinquent behaviour of juveniles represents actions, wich are unacceptable in upbringing – educational facilities, juvenile persons escaping from their parents home and from educational facilities, as well as loafing and begging, unallowed night “going-outs” of juveniles up to 16 years of age, unallowed and harmfull associations of juveniles up to 18 years of age with people prone to criminality, loafing, various forms of juvenile persons abuse, absenteeism from classes, hooligan-vandal behaviour (destruction of property, writing graphity, taking part in cheerer riots and similar) as well as violence directed at the persons peers.
