A contribution to the study of Ivan Meštrović's activities on the Yugoslav Committee

Summary/Abstract: Fully aware of the generally difficult conditions in Dalmatia, Ivan Meštrović believed, as did many of his generation at the time, that the only solution to the plight of the South Slavs in Austria-Hungary was creation of a fully independent and democratic south Slav state. At the time of the First World War, Meštrović assisted in the creation of a Yugoslav Committee and through his contacts and exhibits he supported its work.
