Summary/Abstract: The paper refers to the meaning of formal logic within Hegel’s philosophical systems starting from the twofold meaning of the forms of classical logic: notion or concept, judgment and syllogism. The main point is that a formal approach of these forms is an unavoidable step of the construction of the speculative idea. In order to clarify the significance of these forms Hegel undertakes a speculative interpretation of these forms of logic, mixing their classical meaning with their speculative one.
