Summary/Abstract: Human resource management is a process which aims at providing competent employees in certain positions to organizations. In the pastoral care it mainly means the help in discovering the spiritual vocation and the preparation and improvement of those who implement the pastoral ministry. The application of the principles developed by economics can contribute to making the better use of the potential of priests and to improving the efficiency of their actions. Human resource management in the pastoral care is connected with its planning. These are the processes which intermingle and determine one another. The care for the constant formation of presbyters and the more profound recognition of their objectives in the ministry should be correlated with the pastoral planning.
