Summary/Abstract: Herzegovina is a huge migration area. The traces of migration are most evident in patronims. Around 350 patronims belonging to all confessions in Herzegovina include traces of Albanian lexicon. This is especially evident in Stolac area. Such lexemes mostly belong to nomadic terminology, but also include onomatopoeias and legal terms, as well as those describing the temperament of ascendants.
