Summary/Abstract: In Cameroon, the institution of marriage is subject to different barriers; among these are the social and cultural constraints, the wage cuts of 1993 and the devaluation of the national currency. The situation is so difficult, that the Cameroonian youth sees in marriage nothing but a myth. The use of the Internet becomes for this category gender-discriminated the ultimate way of salvation. This article states that interracial marriage, more than just a social institution, is an anti-utopia subject to multiple challenges: it allows considering cultural globalization.
