Summary/Abstract: Russian iconography of Peter’s time is very poor and therefore entering into scientific circulation of previously unknown works of the portrait genre and attribution of the depicted persons is very important. In addition, the question of identification of a person painted on portraits requires undisputed personification, as they are a part of the permanent exhibition of the State Hermitage Museum in the Menshikov Palace. The article confirmes the attribution, made earlier by N. V. Kalyazina, of the portrait of Anna Danilovna Devieir, a sister of A. D. Menshikov on the basis of comparison with lost during the war portrait of A. D. Devieir and new archival data.
