Supply chain management practices in SME sector

Summary/Abstract: Observed trends in management during last two decades show that the important factor of the strategic advantage for the firms around the world is the integration of supply chain management into the organization processes, and further with other organizational management functions. Supply chain management in the SME sector is significantly different from large organizations, mainly due to the resource limitations. The focus of this study is on the relationship between particular supply chain management functions, concerning: suppliers, customers, information sharing, cost management and human resource management in the perspective of SMEs.
