HISTORICAL AND RELIGIOUS-LEGENDARY PERSON NAMES IN ASHUG CULTURE

Summary/Abstract: The article presents a study about the historical and religious-mythological personal names used in Azerbaijani Ashug poetry, reveals the etymological root of these names. Ashug culture, being not only the foundation of poetic thinking, and wise spiritual school, carries the aesthetic beauty and unique taste of the Azerbaijani people. Ashug culture interesting for its richness and variety of style of speech. Simplicity, beauty and poetry of a people's language is clearly expressed in Ashiq art. In this poetry skillfully and with high quality were selected the words of the Azerbaijani language. Using the finest unique emotional style was created rich and diverse poetics, filled with figurative expressions. In Ashiq art was skillfully used onomastic units, created a unique catch phrases, rhythmic speech patterns, poetic verbal complexes. The study of the onomastic units, their signs and characteristics is one of the important research areas in the modern Azerbaijani linguistics. Onomastic units – these are the names of inhouse, used in the language.
