Summary/Abstract: Psychoanalysis or psychoanalytic psychotherapy is based on some princeps concepts, which are, at the same time, the fundamental dykes of the therapeutic flow. One of them is the framework and its constancy. The framework is part of the psychoanalytic method itself, along with the free association of the patient and floating attention of the analyst. The framework is the therapist’s working instrument, assuming therefore a pertinent internalization of the said framework into his own mind.
