Summary/Abstract: The study addresses the matter of the mural painting of the church in Bucovăţ and especially the new mural inscriptions found there during some repairs. The mural painting includes a scraped personage representation, and also an inscription that has been deleted. It is considered that the scraped face was depicting Vlad's cousin Mihnea II Turcitul and the deleted text would have referred to Mihnea II Turcitul, father of Radu Mihnea. The author considered that both forms currently removed from the walls of the church in Bucovăţ belonged to the same person: son of Mihnea II Turcitul probably another Radu, not Radu Mihnea, who went with his father to Islam. It was painted on the walls of the church but because he became a Muslim it was then scraped, and the same happened for the text which was ment to designate him.
