Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to present the phenomenon of internal selection from the evolutionary perspective as the vehicle of organizational competitiveness in selective environment. It was assumed that the individual level selection in obvious connection with a genetic level constituted the antecedent of internal selection. The first part of the paper shows basic selection levels (not only internal ones) with taking into consideration the selection of and the selection for. The second part includes individual level selection as the antecedent of internal selection. Thus, internal selection as the vehicle of the capability of a manager to adapt to the processes of a change has been described. The final part of the paper the conclusions of considerations have been presented (individual level selection constitutes the antecedent of internal selection that might determine via its behavioral determinants the degree of adjusting to the conditions of change as well the directions of future research). The inference having been conducted is deductive and literature studies and author’s considerations have been used.
