Summary/Abstract: The prisoners of war protection is a matter of all states, mostly recognized by the ratification of the Geneva Convention and the enrolment to the United Nations. The United Nations agencies are the most important institution which protect de prisoners of war status. Moreover, if the human rights principle are enforced, the prisoners of war status would be automatically respected.
