Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to analyze and evaluate innovative actions undertaken in the public sector, with particular emphasis on local government units in Poland. The author points to the types and examples of innovative activities undertaken at the level of local government in Poland. The research method adopted literature analysis of foreign and domestic, available reports, research and good practice in this area.
