Summary/Abstract: This paper provides a tripartite analysis of feminism today and in recent history, with the purpose of establishing which could be the most practical approach to combating female oppression by society. When looking at the various takes on this subject that have been pursued throughout the years (liberal, social/Marxist and radical) a pattern for success emerges, that of the small-step liberals who, while thwarting a revolutionary emancipation, do bring quantifiable improvements to women’s lives and call for an equality of identity rather than one of difference and segregation
