POSSESSIVE AND REPRESENTATION OF SPACE SPEAKER IN ITALIAN AND IN THE ROMANCE LANGUAGES

Summary/Abstract: Based on the results of a contrastive and diachronic study of the use of possessives in a corpus of contemporary graphic novels, this study aims to study and help to understand the expression of membership in the Italian language and, in contrast, French and Romanian, by focusing on the implications this could have on human representation in each of the three Romance languages. The Guillaume’s methodological framework allows us to highlight the consistency diachronic as well as synchronic observable speech made reference to specific language systems.
