Summary/Abstract: The international arena, where Romania stresses its own political agenda, includes the interests and actions of non-governmental actors. It is demonstrated that the gender politics of a country assert the democratization process in society. The international civil society and the transnational companies play the role models for the acquisition of new democratic standards for the population. So, the practices of international organizations become key factors for the development of a nation. The international non-state actors have chosen two different ways: to emphasize the women’s role in economic development or line out the arguments for women’ awareness.
