Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to show the evolution of the Polish foreign policy towards the region of Central Asia. Since its accession to the European Union (EU), Poland's policy towards the region has been notably trending towards the EU's policy which is still under construction. Whereas in the 1990s, financial (technical) assistance was the objective of the EU's policy, in the 21st century its character and scope changed, which was not without consequences for the shape of the Polish policy.
