Application of New Methods in the Evaluation of Ergonomic Risks

Summary/Abstract: Currently the most commonly diagnosed occupational diseases include diseases of musculoskeletal system. They are characterized by frequent repetition of the same working movements with demands on motion coordination and sensory control. In many cases this work is characterised as long-term work, carried out in forced labour tempo with excessive static load, unilateral overload of limbs in forced labour positions. RULA method was applied for the assessment of manual production and surfacing of the modules and components for the automotive industry. The results were used in the draft of measures intended for reduction of the strain related with musculoskeletal system of employees.
