Summary/Abstract: This article reflects on the experience of a programme of management education delivered by UK academics in Serbia and Montenegro. In doing so, the article attempts critically to assess the concept and process of ‘knowledge transfer’ within a framework of political economy addressing the social, economic and political reality of transformation.
