Benchmarking in corporate real estate value management

Summary/Abstract: The concept of benchmarking is based on the principles of best practices applied by corporations in the management process, including strategic real estate management. It is used as an instrument for increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of organizations seeking effective solutions in asset management. Following the assumption that the best practices based on benchmarking complement the existing management standards, this article intends to analyze the assumptions of the standardization of corporate real estate management in the concept of facility management, and the role as well as the expected scope of benchmarking in this area.
