Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to provide a general background on the political scene and socio-economic conditions of Georgia. The author discusses main challanges in Georgian domestic and foreign policy, condition of the economy and social problems. The author claims that the deepening of the political crisis may eventually lead to negative impact on Georgia’s pro-Western course.
