Summary/Abstract: The moment Romania joined the European Union, it was necessary to align itself to unionist politics, especially in order to reduce the developing differences at every possible level, according to the territorial cohesion principle. This principle has as main goal, the promotion of a harmonious progress in the entire European Union. Starting with this reason, actions to strengthen the economic, social and territorial cohesion must be undertaken. The territorial cohesion politics contribute directly at the durable development, especially in those regions with high potential and numerous resources but which are not yet exploited at their true value and which, due to a good coordination by territorial cohesion, could lead to Romania’s economic growth, in total agreement with the European Union. All these measures and implementations have a strong influence on the environment, providing complex modifications, even in the scenery.
