Summary/Abstract: Braşov research highlights some features of people involved in prostitution life, and also their direct and indirect relations with the local population. The available data on SW estimates their number (NGOs assessment) between 190 and 230. Public authorities unofficially estimate a number of 30 SW working in the street in the area. The research showed that either SWs consider HIV/AIDS and VHC infection less dangerous or they have decreased access to these types of tests.
