Agritourism as a sustainable development factor

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to show agritourism as a sustainable development element. Agritourism is one of the most rapidly developing form of tourism. Natural and cultural values are its natural base of development, therefore it has a significant capacity to implement the sustainable development principles. Agritourism development supplies many economic and social benefits to farmers providing agritourism activity and to the local community. Moreover, it contributes to sustainable tourism and to the idea of sustainable rural areas development. Ergo, agritourism conducted in accordance with the eco-development rules can be a permanent sustainable development factor.
