Summary/Abstract: The microbiological hazard assessment has been made based on prints from the collection of 16th century books in the Count Wiktor Baworowski Foundation Library in Lviv. Items with significant signs of microorganism impact have been selected (80 books total). The collection is in good microbiological condition, a statement confirmed by the fact that among volumes selected for analysis, only eight cases of flourishing mycelium have been detected. Eleven types of fungi have been designated.
