Summary/Abstract: The article includes the list of publications within Alfred Szklarski’s book collection. It is an important source of information on the writer’s body of work, who did not like to travel, which is why he acquainted himself with the lands he described in his novels through the books he accumulated. In the author’s library there are only few tomes with autographs and dedications; there are also no old prints, and only over a dozen of books published before the Second World War and short after its end — most of them in English (he received them from his father, who lived in the USA ). There are also only a few novels, although his collection includes the works of Bolesław Prus, Henryk Sienkiewicz, or his beloved George Bidwell. There is, however, a lot of travel books, including reportages by Wacław Korabiewicz, Eric Lundqvist, Janusz Makarczyk, Kalman Segal, and Wacław Słabczyński.
