Summary/Abstract: This study aims at defining the unit of lexical decrystallization on the basis of the analysis of our corpus created using the French satirical journal “Le Canard Enchaîné”. While creating the corpus, we have found out that atypical and idiosyncratic lexical diversions pose a definitional problem to the unit of lexical decrystallization on every linguistic level. We will analyze this phenomenon within the linguistic frame, although this problem is not only a linguistic one.
