Phrasems with component child and baby in Bulgarian and Polish language

Summary/Abstract: The study presents the meaning of phrasems with component child and baby in Bulgarian and Polish phraseological dictionaries and analyses the interpretation of their meanings by respondents native speakers. It shows the difference bethween the meanings fixed in the dictionaries and their actual usage by young people. After identifying the concerned phrasems in the phrasems dictionaries we developed questionaries in which the most oftenly used phrasemes were presented to native speakers, students of age 20-25 years, to explain their meanings.
