Summary/Abstract: In prayer poems for children the memories of the religious events and feelings are preserved, but the voice of the modern times with its intertwined personal and public feelings and emotions can also be noted. They express sympathy for the Christian religion, without their secular messages to be muted. In the children's verse prayers the deep faith in the healing power of the prayer is displayed in the foreground in its ability to produce the desired by its supplicant change. The devotional poems of Ivan Vazov, Konstantin Velichkov, Chicho Stoyan, Emanuel Popdimitrov, Dora Gabe, Maria Grubeshlieva, Vyara Gospodinova are filled with love and compassion for the young children, especially those with unhappy childhood. Here we can find topics from the everyday life, from the days of peace and war. Most of these poems educate strong spirit, will, activity and love between people. They also express their ideas about life and collective assistance. The poems inspire in the young readers (and perceivers) the feelings of love towards family, homeland, Christianity, education and work.
