About mutual gifts once again. Good-neighbourhood, pragmatism and philanthropy in the relation between Rusiny and Lithuanians in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the first half of 16th century

Summary/Abstract: The documents published are very rare from the sources on history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania about the relations between the individuals, which fastened and maintained by means of such traditional means as mutual gift. The exchange of gifts, which reflected in them, served as the symbolical gesture manifesting mutual favour and the aspiration to fasten visually good-neighbourhood and personal contact between individuals. But the importance of the documents has also wider plan. They reflect forms of interpersonal contacts between two predominating peoples of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania: Orthodox Rusiny and Catholics Lithuanians.
