Summary/Abstract: Hannah Arendt’s description of action and political spontaneity does not deal explicitly with the persons who are acting and their qualities. But she has an elaborated understanding of personality, which is the prerequisite of judgment, freedom and responsibility, and which we find spread all over her work – and which we also find in Orwell and Camus.
