Summary/Abstract: The foreign diplomats appointed in the Romanian or Russian capital followed carefully the evolution of the Romanian-Russian relations during the year 1914. Our attention was focused on the ottoman diplomats who during May−June 1914 wrote reports and send telegrams to Constantinople. These five documents that we publish in the present study were found after a research in the Archive of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers from Istanbul, funds of the ottoman Ministry of Foreign Affairs, political issues (Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi Istanbul, Hariciye Nezareti Evrakı Siyasî Kısım-BOA.HR.SYS) which contain reports of the Ottoman diplomats in the two capitals mentioned. They observed the hesitant policy of Austro-Hungary towards Romania since the time of Balkan wars, but also the good relations between Romania and Russia from the same period. On the other hand, the Ottoman diplomats analyzed the visit of Tsar Nicholas II and have interpreted it like a courtesy visit, although can still be made many interpretations on it.
