Summary/Abstract: The Romanian philosopher Eugeniu Speranția (1888-1972) conceives in his early oeuvres The Pragmatic Apriorism (1912-22) a synthesis of Kantian idealism and modern pragmatism (a revision of theories belonging to William James and C. S. Pierce). This realtively unknown and mostly unresearched work come up with a mixture of philosophical anthropology, intriguing epistemology and evolutionary psychology (influenced by Darwin and Spencer). E. Sperantia anticipates in his complex and eclectic Lebensphilosophie sketches theses from existential philosophy, from Heidegger to Sartre.
