Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is a brief observation of writings of the early Christian author from Carthage in the Roman province of Africa - Quintus Tertullian. He is the first Christian author to produce an extensive corpus of Latin Christian literature. The author of this research will focus on Tertullian‟s view on marriage, monogamy and divorce, mixed marriages, husband-wife relationships and their mutual duties. The significance of Tertullian‟s writings is obvious,because he is one of the first Christian authors who looked at marriage from the Christian perspective.
