Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the problems, prospects and vectors of development of scientific applied research in the field of social Sciences and Humanities in modern Russia. The article shows that scientific and applied research in the field of social Sciences and Humanities in modern Russia for reasons of economic, social and intrascientific nature have marginal status and many problems. Despite this, Russia has retained the institutional structure for the development of applied research, increasing their funding, so they will steadily grow.
